The Viterbi School of Engineering hosts a mentoring panel each semester to encourage Ph.D. students and postdocs to pursue a rewarding career in academia and research. In continuation of this successful panel series, the Spring 2011 academic mentoring panel focuses on the topic, “Academic Career Work-Life Balance.”
Engineering Ph.D. students and postdocs from all areas and departments will hear five distinguished faculty discuss their academic paths and those of their PhD students successfully placed in university positions in the US and abroad, offer strategic advice, and answer questions.
